Kitesurfing or kiteboarding is considered one of the fastest growing extreme water sports today. It uses wind power harnessed in a huge, specially-designed, high performance kite to pull a rider through the water on a small surfboard or a kiteboard. Kiteboarding or Kitesurfing - what's the difference? Kiteboarding refers to a style of riding, freestyle or wakestyle, whereas kitesurfing is more waveriding oriented, the two styles usually require different boards and specific performance kites.
