The creek separates Mombasa District from Kilifi District. It’s a beautiful wide creek surrounded by hills, palm trees, baobabs and you can see the local fishermen in their canoes going about their daily work, real magical images of Coastal Kenya.
There will wait a specially modified speedboat that creates a big wake, all ready for us to go and play! (Price per person tbc) An experience not to be missed.
14.30 History & Lunch
A Late lunch & Kiting at the very special “Monsoon’s” Jumba Ruins Restaurant. Inside the National Museum of Kenya's Jumba Ruins precincts, in Mtwapa fifteen kilometers North of Mombasa. As you walk down to the sea, you can admire the remains of Jumba la Mtwana, (the large house of the slaves) a 14th Century ancient Swahili Stone Town, in a fine woodland setting, astonishing giant secular baobabs, different species of birds, monkey butterfly and exotic insects.
By the shore at the edge of Mombasa National Marine Park, you'll find “Monsoon’s Restaurant” just metres from the beach. Here you'll enjoy the best sea catch of the day and ancient spiced Swahili dishes in a unique atmosphere, created for the private comfort of guests that will enjoy excellent service and seafood accompanied by the taste of Swahili spices with the friendliest, traditional coastal hospitality.
NB: Kiting there is only for advanced kiters and by your choice only. Note there is no rescue boat available. For those who can’t kite, it’s a spectacular place to swim and/or snorkel.
